Abortion
Did you know that about 1.000.000 women, with the governments blessing, kill their unborn children evey year, only in the US? That is a huge number compared to about 15.000 people that accidentally are killed in car-accidents and about 15.000 homicides. Does God love the mother who kills her own flesh, no matter what? Do you, in your love for her, compassionately also support her choice?
Before getting into this, let me point out two important factors:
a) Every christian needs to encourage people to repent, receive eternal life, and to turn away from sin. Those who choose not to repent, God will deal with, eventually. We are called to hate sin, not to be mean to sinners. «Or are you [so blind as to] trifle with and presume upon and despise and underestimate the wealth of His kindness and forbearance and long-suffering patience? Are you unmindful or actually ignorant [of the fact] that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repent (to change your mind and inner man to accept God's will)?» (Romans 2:4 AMP) With kindness and love sinners are drawn to Christ.
b) Here I will discuss willful abortion only - abortion that is intended by someone.
Abortion is based on two principles:
1. There is no human life in the womb, at least not the first few weeks.
2. In line with feminist thoughts, a woman can do with her own body as she wants.
IS THE EMBRYO A NEW INDIVIDUAL?
«“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”» (Jeremiah 1:5 NLT) He was known by God before he was formed in the womb and while he was formed there. While in the womb he appointed Jeremiah to a certain task.
«Thus says the Lord who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.» (Isaiah 44:2 ESV)
«Listen to me, O coastlands, and give attention,
you peoples from afar. The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name. (Isaiah 49:1 ESV)
And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered
to him— for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength—» (Isaiah 49:5 ESV) Isaiah was also called while in the womb.
«But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased him» (Galatians 1:15 NLT) Paul also was chosen before birth.
«Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.» (Psalms 139:16 ESV) Here the embryo is defined clearly as an unformed substance, still he was clearly identified as a person and his days were planned.
To me, it is obvious that a new person has come to life at the exact moment of conception. "Human life begins with a bright splash of light, as a sperm meets an egg, scientists have shown for the first time, after capturing the astonishing 'fireworks' on film. An explosion of tiny sparks erupts from the egg at the exact moment of conception. (Scientists say life begins at conception with a flash of light, Lifesitenes.com, May 3, 2016)
Again, to me, it doesn't matter whether the new life is developing from embryo to infancy in the womb with food passing through the umbilical cord or later developing from infancy to adulthood while getting food through the mouth. It is the same life all the way..
To kill it is murder. Actually I cannot think of any more brutal and heartless murder than when a mother kills her own helpless and totally dependant child inside of her. It's contrary to the very essence of motherhood, the prime protector turning around killing instead. But in the "holy" name of feminism these murders are applauded and approved by governments.
If you have killed your own baby, you can choose one of three ways to go:
1. You stand by your choice and take the consequences before the Almighty one day.
2. You refuse to take responsibilty for the abortion and blame others or bad circumstances for your misfortune. "Someone forced me. My economy was bad. Nobody was there to help me keep the baby." And so on. The act is still murder and the child is dead. I am confident that the big judge will repay every participant according to the level of participation. I would suggest you leave it at that.
3. You repent. "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." (1 John 1:9 NLT) God will not save you because of your pitifullness or your tears. He will save you and forgive you completely because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Praise him! And Jesus said: ".... Go and sin no more.” (John 8:11 NLT) God loves you and wants to spend eternity with you. The Holy Spirit is now alive inside of you. Renew your mind daily by eating his word in the Bible: «Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.» (Romans 12:2 ESV)
THE WOMAN'S BODY?
A new life is alive, is fed, grows and develops inside her body. It resides in her body. However, the embryo is not her own body.
The new life has it's own rights. It has a right to be cared for and to experience a full life.
The father has equal claims to that unborn child. It is also made out of his body. Yet in the name of feminism the mother is allowed to murder his child. Outrageous! May God deal with this on the day of judgement!
Furthermore, siblings, grandparents, other relatives, future friends, collegues, spouses and its own future children are robbed from sharing the blessings of interacting with that individual.
The society as a whole is also robbed. God had plans for that individual.
Lastly, but most importantly, the allmighty Jesus died for that person. He wanted to offer him eternal life in happiness.
The full consequences are enormous. It has absolutely nothing to do with the woman's body! It has everything to do with her responsibility and privilege as a mother!
But if it did have anything to do with your female body, listen to this: "The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does." (1 Corinthians 7:3-4 ESV)
If you are touched by these words, share your experience with someone. The body of Christ was broken on the cross for our sins, and his blood was poured out so that we can experience his revitalizing power. Praise him! He is alive and he wants to spend eternity with you.
